Lock Your Doors

Elderly couple read Bible during home invasion | Crime | Lincoln County News.

Have you ever known anyone who never locks his or her door?  My dad rarely locked his.  When he had a stroke, it actually proved beneficial; as a friend who came to visit was able to get medical help quickly.  As a general rule however, I think it is best to keep your doors locked.

In this article, an elderly couple experienced a home invasion.  My guess, is that the invader was a relative, or a friend of a relative (he knew just where to go for their prescription medication).  Thankfully, the couple wasn’t injured.  This article is a good reminder to keep our doors locked at all times…. even during the day.  For elderly individuals in particular, it is wise to give a responsible family member and a trusted neighbor a copy of your house key.
