After 60 years, a WWII vet who lives in Cincinnati was reunited with his leather bomber jacket. It was found in a Washington D.C. Goodwill store. His name was on the side of the leather jacket. The man who bought the jacket for $17, did research on the owner, talked with him over the phone about his time in the war, and later mailed the jacket to the veteran. The vet who is now 90 years old was happy to receive it; stating his wife probably cleaned out the house and simply donated it. He said he’d “love” to know the story of its journey from Cincinnati to Washington. What a story…. Now the gentleman has it to pass on to one of his grandchildren.
